The Ignite Rural Business Competition will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 to award $95,000 to entrepreneurs wanting to start or grow a business in Barton County. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Crest Theater in Great Bend.

There will be five finalists pitching their business idea to a panel of judges. The winner will receive $50,000 to launch or further their start-up business. Second place will receive $30,000 and third place receives $10,000.&nbsp;Those in attendance will have a chance to vote for their favorite business proposal, and $5,000 will be given to the “people’s choice” winner.
