The Great Bend Recreation Commission is working with the City of Great Bend to get the tennis court fencing repaired at Veterans Memorial Park following damage from a recent storm.

The city is awaiting information from their insurance reimbursements, but GBRC Executive Director Diann Henderson says a Request For Proposal (RFP) will be sent out within the next 30 days to receive a bid for new fencing.

"This will probably take some time to complete depending on availability of supplies and contractor interest," said Henderson. "But it is something we will be working on."

GBRC staff measured the fence last week getting the dimensions for the repairs.
