The City of Great Bend, along with the Great Bend Convention and Visitors Bureau, hosted three travel writers this past weekend. The writers explore Great Bend, are shown several highlights and then write blogs about their experience.
CVB Director Christina Hayes said this is a good way to spread
the word on what the city has to offer.
"If someone searches what fun things are there to do in Great Bend, it comes up in a search engine and it's not produced by us," said Hayes. "It's a CVB goal to make sure we're getting content out there that is not from staff or biased people from here."
Several travel bloggers have made their way through Great Bend in recent years,
including Roxie Yonkey. Great Bend CVB also attempts to share the city’s
tourist attractions by attending conferences and travel shows each year.
