
The Great Bend High School Lady Panthers tennis squad took first as a team at the Garden City Varsity Girls Tennis Invitational yesterday.
The Panthers came in first in a field of 11 teams, with strong performances in open singles from Mac Lindberg, who came in 4th, and Paige Stacey, who came in 6th.
In open doubles, the pairing of Brooklyn Reynolds and Baze Hogan came in 3rd, while Beth Hammeke and Maddie Siefkes placed 4th.
The Panthers won with a team score of 123, finishing ahead of Larned, who scored 118, and the host Buffalo's Brown team, who scored 108.
