Saturday, the Ellinwood High School cross country team was in Norton for regionals.
All seven Ellinwood girls hit PRs en route to a 2nd place team finish, securing their spot at state. The Eagles were led by medalists Eleanor Joiner (3) and Jenna Borror (7). Kyla McCormick (17), Ali Gonzalez (18), Madison Dombroski (27), Heidi Brauer (31), and Kynlee Wesner (49) finished out the regional runners-up squad.
The ladies will race again Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Wamego Country Club.
The boy's team had four of the six runners hitting new bests. Shae Hoskins (23), Joe Brauer (26), Ethan Robl (27), and Dallon Luker (34) all hit new PR's. Grey Ringwald (35) and Caleb Zook (44) rounded out the team. The boys fell into the 4th spot yet again this year.
