Callie McConnell drove in four runs with two doubles while Sydni Williams homered and picked up the win in the circle Monday as the Barton Lady Cougars beat Cowley 8-3 to salvage the second game of a double header with the Cowley Tigers. Cowley won the first game 6-1.
Barton broke open a tight game with 5-runs in the sixth inning to get the game two victory. Williams got the complete game victory, scattering 8-hits, walking 2 and striking out four.
In the first game, the Lady Cougars were held to just 5-hits, two of which came off the bat of Jenna Henderson who had two doubles.
Barton Returns to action at home Wednesday as they host Garden City in a conference double header. Game one begins at 1pm.
