
On Sunday, June 1, at about 12:40 a.m., a deputy with the Barton County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of NW 30 Avenue for a traffic infraction.
Great Bend Police Department K9 Neo and handler were called to the scene. The dog indicated the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, THC wax, heroin, MDMA (Ecstasy) and two handguns.
The driver was identified as Timothy Orr, age 32 of Wichita. Orr was arrested and charged with distribution of controlled substances, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Orr was transported to the Barton County Jail without incident. Orr is being held on a $100,000 bond.
