BARTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Friday in Barton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Kia Rio driven by William K. Selfridge, 44, Hoisington, was westbound on U.S. 281 four miles west of Hoisington.
The Kia struck the trailer of an eastbound 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Rodney B. Furrow, 65, Ellinwood, who was attempting to make a turn northbound onto U.S. 281 from Kansas 4.
EMS transported Selfridge Clara Barton Medical Center. Furrow was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
