Schoolhouse Snack Co. is celebrating its first year in business with a special anniversary pop-up event in partnership with Abbey Carpet & Floor.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Abbey Carpet & Floor in Great Bend. This come-and-go event will feature a selection of Schoolhouse Snack Co.’s bestselling sourdough breads and nostalgic, made-from-scratch treats, along with a few new spring favorites. Abbey Carpet & Floor will also be providing light refreshments for guests.
It all began as a homeschool lesson for owner Marissa Hooley and her children, centered around creating their sourdough starter, Goldie. Through that experience, Marissa rediscovered her love for baking, which sparked the idea for Schoolhouse Snack Co. What started in her home kitchen quickly grew beyond the space and eventually took over a guest room, now transformed into a dedicated home bakery.
“One year later, it’s blessed our family in more ways than I can count,” said Hooley. “We’re so grateful for the support this community has shown us, and we’re excited to celebrate with everyone who has been part of the journey.”
