104 grams of meth seized in Hoisington arrest

On Saturday, Oct. 14, at approximately 5:05 p.m., an officer from the Hoisington Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black 1999 Oldsmobile Alero for a traffic offense in the 500 block on North Main Street.

During the course of the traffic stop, the driver identified as Robert Alan-David Swinford, age 51 of Medicine Lodge, was taken into custody for not having a valid driver’s license.

After a search of the Alero was completed approximately 104 grams of methamphetamine and one gram of cocaine was located and seized. Swinford was booked into the Barton County Jail for the requested charges of driving while suspended, possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and no tax stamp.
