For the second year in a row, the top football player in the state of Kansas is attending Great Bend High School. After Ian Premer's graduation this past year, Cooper Ohnmacht now fills in as the top player in the Sunflower State.

Many powerhouse schools were vying for the 6-0, 185 lb athlete's commitment, including Penn State, Wisconsin, and Kansas. But the local kid is staying local, making the two-hour trip to Manhattan to continue his playing career.

Ohnmacht visited Kansas and Kansas State on Friday, June 5th, and announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Sunday, June 7th. He does still have official visits scheduled with Wisconsin and Penn State.

Ohnmacht is a composite four-star, and is a top-300 recruit in the country according to 247 and Rivals. He is also a standout athlete in basketball and track and field.
