Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas will host a Financial Literacy Program from 5 to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Oct. 12 through Nov. 30, at 2201 16th St. in Great Bend, offering participants practical tools and information to help them build greater confidence in managing their finances.

This will be an eight-week workshop series and will cover topics including how to build a smart budget, save more effectively, manage debt, improve credit scores, and plan for the future. The goal is to provide practical skills that participants can use in their everyday lives.

Certified Housing Counselor Brittaney Fox Bennett said financial literacy is about more than just learning how to make and stick to a budget.

“Financial literacy is about having the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions, feel more confident about your finances, and work toward your goals,” Bennett said. “We want participants to leave the program with skills they can use every day and a better understanding of how to take control of their financial future.”
