The Great Bend High School Tennis team took 3rd Thursday at the 8-team Dodge City Inviational.
The Panthers were led once again by Brendyn Schroeder who finished 3rd in singles after going 3-1. Schroeder lost in the semi-finals ato Oscar Alvarado 8-3 but bounced back to beat Vincent Lynn from Meade 8-4.
Also in singles competition, Jordan Manning placed 8th with a 1-3 record.
In doubles, Malachi Wasson and Isaiah Smith went 2-2 for 5th while Roberto Gutierrez and Marcos Castanon went 1-3 to finish 15th.
“Overall I was pleased with everyone's performance,” Head Coach Chris Manning said. “We had three of our four entries win their first match which sets us up for a good finish to the season.”
