As with all our living history events, we hope to bring you the best programs and demonstrations this coming Labor Day weekend! These programs, great for the whole family, are a fantastic way to spend the holiday weekend and we hope to make your learning experience as entertaining and enjoyable as possible.
Saturday (Aug. 31)
10AM – Blacksmith Demonstration
11AM – Steadfast Small Arms – Firing demonstration with the trusty small arms of Infantry and Cavalry
1PM – The Fort as a Town: How Fort Larned sustained life and operations
2PM – Manmade Thunder – Firing demonstration with the M1841 Mountain Howitzer and Instant Artillery soldiers
3PM – The Women of Fort Larned: How ladies of all ages and classes shaped the culture and life at Fort Larned
4:30PM – Retreat Ceremony – A ceremonial lowering of the flag accompanied by a ranger program explaining what’s going on
Sunday (Sept. 1)

1PM – Defending the Fort: A walking tour discussing how Fort Larned prepared for attacks that never came
2PM – Manmade Thunder – Firing demonstration with the M1841 Mountain Howitzer and Instant Artillery soldiers
3PM – The Women of Fort Larned: How ladies of all ages and classes shaped the culture and life at Fort Larned
4:30PM - Retreat Ceremony – A ceremonial lowering of the flag accompanied by a ranger program explaining what’s going on
