
On Saturday, Feb. 3, at approximately 11:31 a.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2300 block of Jackson Street for an equipment violation.
The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, identified as Shawn Taylor, age 50, had a suspended driver’s license. K9 Menta responded to the scene for a free air sniff of the vehicle. After alerting to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, a search of the vehicle was completed. Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.
Taylor was arrested, and booked in lieu of $10,000 bond at the Barton County Jail.
