The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 27 celebrating T & L Fireworks’ 54th year in business. The event was held at their 5215 West 10th Street location.
Tom and Linda Barnes are the original family members who started T & L Fireworks in 1970. At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Linda took a few moments to share a few fun and nostalgic stories from their many years in the fireworks business, with memories that span over five decades. She recounted how the business started in front of their house and, after three years, began expanding due to its growing popularity. Today, T & L Fireworks operates with contributions from both 2nd and 3rd generation family members, and this year, they are receiving help from the fourth generation.
