Two Great Bend organizations selected for Common Good Partnerships

Posted Oct 30, 2026 7:30 PM

The Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) has selected 69 Kansas organizations – two from Great Bend – as recipients of its 2027 Common Good Partnerships, providing grant-funded opportunities for partner organizations to build leadership capacity and make lasting progress on their biggest challenges.

Through this long-running program formerly known as Leadership Transformation Grants, KLC has trained more than 16,596 people, awarded 852 grants, and partnered with 447 Kansas organizations and communities over the past 12 years.

"Every organization selected brings its own challenges, opportunities and people who care deeply about improving their communities," said Camille Scott, partner manager at the Kansas Leadership Center. "That's what makes these partnerships exciting. We get to bring our mission to life by helping organizations tap into the potential of their people and create a culture of leadership that embraces change, tackles problems and seizes opportunities.”

Organizations selected for a Common Good Partnership receive one year of grant-funded access to KLC’s dynamic program experiences, resources and consultation. Each partner organization will establish a core team of three to five individuals to lead implementation of its Common Good Partnership, which is open to civically engaged Kansas organizations in the education, faith, government and nonprofit sectors.

The Great Bend organizations selected for a 2027 Common Good Partnership are:

  1. The Center for Counseling and Consultation
  2. University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend

Applications for Common Good Partnerships are accepted in the fall each year. See the complete list of 2027 partners.
