From the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce...

The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Chamber Coffee on Thursday, May 1st, to recognize The Center for Counseling & Consultation’s expansion into its new administrative location at 2015 16th Street in downtown Great Bend. A strong crowd gathered to explore the renovated space and learn more about the important work The Center continues to do throughout the region. The event continued with an open house, complete with guided tours and refreshments, lasting through noon.

The move downtown marks a meaningful step in The Center’s growth as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), a designation that supports a more integrated, whole-person approach to care. In addition to traditional therapy services, The Center now offers support for housing, employment, and veteran-specific services, as well as medication-assisted treatment—aimed at meeting the needs of individuals and families with compassion and care.

The new facility houses administrative departments such as human resources, information technology, and training teams, and also provides dedicated space for staff onboarding and professional development. This shift opens up additional space at other sites—particularly their Broadway location—allowing clinical teams to grow and better serve the mental and behavioral health needs of the community.

The Center for Counseling & Consultation continues to provide services across Barton, Pawnee, Rice, and Stafford counties through multiple locations in Great Bend, as well as offices in Larned, Lyons, and Stafford.
