From Barton County...
Barton County is preparing the 2025 tax sale for file with the Clerk of the District Court. If taxes remain unpaid following the filing of suit, property will be sold for back taxes unless the property is redeemed.
If you owe back taxes, please contact the Treasurer's Office today to make payment or make payment arrangements. Know that you will be charged for certain fees to include the title abstract needed for the tax sale, as well as interest on taxes owed.
After the suit is filed, there will be additional fees and courts costs added to the amount due. Making payment or payment arrangements today will help you avoid those additional costs.
The Treasurer's Office is located in Suite 107 of the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main Street in Great Bend.
