From Smoky Hills PBS
Smoky Hills PBS is excited to announce a new opportunity to bring Fort Hays State University Tigers football to viewers across Central and Western Kansas.
Through this partnership, Smoky Hills PBS will broadcast select Fort Hays State University football games, giving fans another way to follow the Tigers from home.
These games will be a rebroadcast from the week prior and will air on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The next game featured on SHPBS will happen on Oct. 7, which will be the game vs Missouri Southern that will be played on Saturday, Oct. 3. A full schedule can be found here: SmokyHillsPBS.org.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to bring Fort Hays State football to Smoky Hills PBS and to give Tiger fans another way to cheer on their team,” said Michael Quade, SHPBS Director of Broadcasting. “We know there are many Fort Hays State alumni and supporters throughout our viewing area, and we’re pleased to provide an opportunity for them to stay connected to their alma mater and the university they care about. It’s also a great way for us to expand the local sports coverage we provide to the communities we serve.”
With the addition of Fort Hays State University football, some regular Wednesday evening programming will move to Monday evenings. Nature and NOVA, which traditionally air on Wednesday nights, will be presented on Monday evenings during weeks when FHSU football is scheduled. This is only a temporary change for the next few months, and after FHSU football, our Wednesday evening programming will move back to normal.
