James Francis 'Jim' Robben

James Francis “Jim” Robben, age 63, of Victoria, Kansas, died Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on August 11, 1959, in Hays, Kansas, to Norbert F. and Theresa (Rajewski) Robben.  He married Crystal M. (Berens) on February 11, 1983 in Victoria, Kansas.

He was co-owner of T & J Construction for a few years, owned AAA Mobile Glass for ten years, he owned and operated Robben Oil Service Station for over 35 years.

He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Walker, Kansas, Victoria Knights of Columbus Council # 1861, a 1977 graduate of Victoria High School, and a graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College, Hays, Kansas.  He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling. He was a sports fan of KU basketball, the Kansas City Chiefs, and his grandkids were # 1.

Survivors include his wife, Crystal Robben, of the home; his son, Jason Robben,Walker, KS; his daughters, Kristen Heffel and husband, Ryan, Lees Summit, MO; Andrea Felder and husband, Nick, Victoria, KS; his grandchildren, Holden, Aspen and Torsten Heffel; Rhett, Remmi, Rowan and Ryker Felder; his brothers, MichaelRobben and wife, Sandra, Walker, KS; Daniel Robben and wife, Cindy, Hays, KS; JosephRobben and wife, Gail, Victoria, KS; his sisters, Marijo Isbell and husband, Terry, Hays, KS; Susan Karlin and husband, John, Hays, KS; his sisters-in-law, Karen Robben, Evanston, WY; Jodi Wilson and husband, Jim, Hutchinson, KS; Farrah Pruitt, Rogers,AR; his mother-in-law, JoAnn Berens, Rogers, AR;   

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Robben; his father-in-law, Larry Berens, a brother-in-law, Christopher Berens; and an infant daughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 9, 2022, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas with Father James Moster ofm.Cap. officiating. 

Burial will be in Saint Ann’s Cemetery, Walker, Kansas.

A vigil service with a Victoria Knights of Columbus and Class of 1977 rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Friday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis.

The family suggest memorials payable to the organization: St. Ann’s Cemetery Fund,Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center of Hays or Masses in care of the mortuary.
