REVENUE NEUTRAL RATE HEARING
1. Reconvene of Revenue Neutral Rate Hearing / Roll Call
On 9/9/24, the 2024-2025 RNR Hearing was recessed and will resume at this time.
2. Recognition of Visitors at the Hearing
3. Approval of Resolution to Exceed Revenue Neutral Rate
The local Board of Education must approve by resolution to exceed the Revenue Neutral Tax Rate for financing the annual budget for 2024-2025. The RNR and the USD 428 2024-2025 budget was published in the Great Bend Tribune on 8/27/24, and posted on the USD 428 website for 10 days prior to the continuance of this hearing. Mr. Thexton will recommend the Board approve the resolution to exceed the RNR.

There will be a summative review of USD 428’s 2024-2025 budget, as published in the Tribune on 8/27/24, and posted on the USD 428 website for the required 10 days prior to the continuance of this hearing.

3. Approval of 2024-2025 USD 428 Budget
After a review of the District Needs Assessment at the August 12, 2024, meeting, the administration recommends approval of the 2024-2025 budget as presented.
4. Approval of Resolution to Adopt Local Option Budget (LOB) Percentage
All boards of education must annually adopt a local option budget percentage resolution. The maximum percentage that may be authorized is the statewide average of 32% unless the district has adopted a resolution to exceed the statewide average. The district recommends approval of the resolution to adopt the statewide average of 32% as our Local Option Budget (LOB) percentage for the 2024-2025 year.
