3 subjects arrested in Great Bend for Rush Co. stolen vehicle

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers from the Great Bend Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of a business in the 1100 block of 10th Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Upon officers arrival, an unoccupied vehicle was located in the parking lot. During the investigation, officers learned the vehicle had been stolen in Rush County and had not yet been reported. Officers were able to use the FLOCK cameras to determine when the vehicle entered town. Officers were able to gather possible suspect descriptions, and began searching the area.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., a deputy from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office located three subjects in the 1200 block of Jefferson Street who matched the descriptions. After interviewing the subjects, it was determined they were involved in the theft of the vehicle from Rush County.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old male, was also reported as a runaway from Pottawatomie County. The juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to Juvenile Intake. Further charges are expected for all subjects involved from Rush County.
