Kan. teen among 3 injured after Edwards County crash

EDWARDS COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just before 11:30a.m. Wednesday in Edwards County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Dodge pickup driven by Jeffrey A. Weiss, 16, Offerle was northbound on 20th Avenue at U.S. Highway 50.

The driver stopped at the railroad track and then continued through the yield sign and collided with a westbound 2023 Subaru SUV driven by Aram Molina, 32, San Luis, Arizona.  The vehicles were then pushed into the north ditch of U.S. 50.

EMS transported Weiss and Molina and a passenger in the SUV Auri Molina, 29, San Luis, Arizona  to the Edwards County Medical Center. Weiss was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
