Last night’s storm that blew through Central Kansas impacted several communities, including Pawnee Rock. Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir informed Barton County Commissioners Tuesday of the damage in Pawnee Rock.
"It appears it was straight-line wind damage," said Bellendir. "I don't know if we're in need of anything from the county at this point. The City of Pawnee Rock is taking care of it. They may reach a point where they will need assistance in moving tree limbs and stuff."
Bellendir said several trees are down, three or four buildings were blown over and there are trees that went through houses.
Sheriff’s Office deputies are assessing the damage.
