BARTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 5 p.m. Wednesday in Barton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy C4500 and trailer driven by Andreas Dewayne Vereecke, age 26 of Garfield, was southbound on Washington Avenue two miles north of Great Bend.
A 2008 Ford F250 driven by Kandis Diane Nye, age 61 of Bushton, was at the intersection of NE 30 Road and Washington Avenue.
The vehicles collided at the intersection.
EMS transported Nye to the hospital in Great Bend. Vereecke was not injured. Nye was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
