The countdown is on for the annual United Way of Central Kansas Kickoff event and tickets are now on sale. The event will be Aug. 5, 2023, at the Columbus Club in Barton County for a night of food, fun and fundraising. This year's theme is "Huddle Up! We're Kicking Off 2024!" and United Way invites you to join their team as they work toward creating a better community for everyone.

The Colorado Keys are back with their dueling pianos to provide the soundtrack for the night. Whether you love classics or current hits, they will play the songs that you want to hear. Plus, you can enjoy a delicious dinner of burgers and brats from Ellinwood Packing Plant cooked up by the Knights of Columbus. Sides of scalloped potatoes, baked beans and dessert will complete the meal.

The UWCK Kickoff event is a vital fundraising effort that supports numerous non-profit organizations in Barton and Pawnee counties. These organizations focus on providing critical services in the areas of health, education and financial stability. By supporting UWCK, you are helping uplift your local community and making a real difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

In addition to the great food, music and company, guests will have the opportunity to participate in raffles and auctions. The 50/50 raffle is a fun way to take home some cash while bidding on silent auction items will help the UWCK meet their fundraising goal. Live auction items are also available to bid on, giving you the chance to take home something truly unique while supporting a great cause.
