William M. “Bill” Wolf, 87, passed away February 26, 2023, at Country Place Senior Living, Ellinwood. He was born September 24, 1935, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Roy and Helen (Brown) Wolf. He married Peggy Ferguson June 16, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla.
Bill, a current resident of Great Bend moving from Ellinwood, owned and operated Specialties, Inc. and was an active member of the Ellinwood United Methodist Church, and a 63-year member of A.F. and A.M. Masonic Lodges of Ellinwood and Hoisington. He was an avid Model T collector and enthusiast, belonging to the Model T Ford Club of America and the Model T Ford Club International. Bill proudly served his home state and community as a State Representative from 2007 to 2012, and a part time minister for area United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include his wife Peggy, of the home; one son, Greg Wolf, and wife, Donita of Great Bend; one daughter, Diane Kizziar and life companion, Steve Smith, of Las Cruces, NM; one brother Henry G. Wolf of Chester, Ill.; one sister Jo Eilene Wolf of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Sarah Kizziar, Keisha Spillane, Whitney Kizziar, Ryan Wolf and Ian Wolf; and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Ellinwood United Methodist Church, with Pastor Tom Reazin presiding. Interment will follow at Lakin Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood, with Masonic Rites presented. Visitation will be from Noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Ellinwood United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS.
