The Great Bend Fire Department personnel responded to a single vehicle accident Thursday, Sept. 8 in the 1100 block of west U.S. 56 Highway.
When crews arrived on scene shortly before 6 a.m., staff found a patient trapped in a vehicle. Crews worked to extricate the patient and transfer the patient to the hospital.
On their social media post, the GBFD stated it takes many hours of training and specialized equipment to safely and efficiently remove a person from entrapment.
