After getting swept by Coffeyville on Thursday, the Barton Coungars were eager to return the favor Saturday at Lawson-Biggs Field. For six innings in game two they appeared to be well on their way. Those well laid plans were soon put on hold.
Coffeyville rallied from an 8-1 deficit in the sixth to beat Barton 11-10 to win the series 3-1. The Cougars won the first game 3-2.
Barton falls to 20-9 on the season while Coffeyville is now 10-10.
The Cougars return to action Thursday at Seward County. 1PM first pitch at Liberal.
