Two arrested on drug charges following K-9 search

On Monday, Aug. 24 at approximately 11:11 p.m. an officer with the Great Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 3900 block of 10th Street for an illegal tag on a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

During the stop, Police Service Dog Menta was deployed and conducted a free air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle. After performing the sniff, K9 Menta indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and controlled substances, including methamphetamine, edibles and drug paraphernalia were located.

Alison Barton, age 29, was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond.

Ana Dominguez, age 27, was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond for driving without a driver’s license and driving with an illegal tag.
