Already there is a nip in the air most mornings. Starting Friday, Nov. 4, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce will store your recreational vehicles for the winter at the Expo Complex west of Great Bend. Chamber Office Business Manager Tayler Stegman said the Chamber is now taking reservations.
"We store campers, boats, motorcycles, whatever you need stored throughout the winter in there," she said. "We typically don't have events out there during the winter time, so just to bring in some income, we opened it up for winter storage."
The Chamber has offered the service for several years now. A one-time fee covers the duration of storage from Nov. 4, 2022, through March 4, 2023. Spaces 20 feet and under are $225, and larger spaces are $250. Facilities at the Expo Complex are locked, maintained, and regularly checked by staff members.
"I feel like it's relatively cheap and it's not going to take up room in your garage," said Stegman. "You can have peace of mind that it's stored safely out at the Expo Grounds where there are regularly people out there checking on the buildings."
Reserve a spot by calling the Chamber at (620) 792-2401, or emailing gbcc@greatbend.org.
