Another Eagle Radio Home for the Holidays $10,000 Shopping Spree is in the books. Last Saturday, Great Bend's Jed Kuhn was the lucky winner picked in the drawing at the Crest Theater in downtown Great Bend. Tuesday afternoon, Kuhn and his wife, Paula, made the rounds with Eagle Radio's Mat Breit and Dakota Tucker to spend the winnings. Eagle's Director of Promotions Shannon Towns said the Kuhns made stops at four local businesses.
"The lucky businesses that got to take advantage of it this year were Sutherlands - we bought power tools," she said. "At Miller's of Claflin, we got some furniture and flooring. At Mattress Solutions, of course a mattress, and The New Place got an awesome certificate. Congratulations to those businesses and our winner, Jed Kuhn."
Kuhn was finalist No. 6 after registering for the contest at Nex-Tech in Great Bend. There were 62 finalists from 19 participating sponsors in this year's contest presented by Moeder Plumbing, Heating, and Air, your Bryant Dealer, and Bauer Computers.
"The Shop at Home for the Holidays $10,000 Shopping Spree is a really great opportunity to bring in customers to the businesses after the shopping spree, as well as throughout the entire contest," Towns said. "Once the shopping spree is over, that money gets to be spent at our participating sponsors."
Sponsors of this year's contest include: Bauer Computers, Santa Fe Liquormart, Millers of Clafin, Nex-Tech, Handle Bar and Grill, Eagle Tire, Memorial Art Company, Nex-Tech Wireless, Eldridge Fencing, Sutherlands, Great Bend Appliance Furniture and Sleep Source, Mattress Solutions, Dawson Jewelers Designs by Dana, UPS Store/Westside Market, Heavy Duty Deisel and Auto, Straub’s Powersports, Boone’s Maytag Home Appliance, Ehler Chevrolet, and That New Place.
