LINDSBORG - A large law enforcement presence at Bethany College in Lindsborg Monday evening turned out to be for naught after a report of an armed individual on campus.

According to information from the Lindsborg Police Department via the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.facebook.com/LindsborgPublicSafety">Lindsborg Public Safety Facebook page</a>, the department was advised at approximately 8:25 p.m. Monday of a possible armed person on the Bethan College campus.

Personnel from the Lindsborg Police Department, McPherson County Sheriff's Department, and the Kansas Highway Patrol quickly responded, secured the area, and began investigating the alleged incident.

"Thankfully, the incident turned out to be a false alarm. NO gun was ever seen nor located. After our investigation was complete, it was determined no crime had been committed," the department wrote.
