Police shot man during domestic disturbance call at Kansas home

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Sedgwick County.

Just after 10p.m. Monday, police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 Block of North Wood in Wichita, according to police spokesman Andrew Ford .

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The officers left the call, but when the suspect returned to his residence, his wife called the police to return.

 A struggle between the officers and the suspect ensued, resulting in the suspect being shot.

Police released no additional details early Tuesday. The Sedgwick County Sheriff's office is in charge of the investigation.
