SHAWNEE COUNTY —The search for a suspect wanted in connection with a deadly shooting at Reser's Fine Foods 3167 SE 10th Street in Topeka on Thursday is over.
According to online jail records, 65-year-0ld Eddie Holmes of Topeka is in custody on requested charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Criminal poss of weapon by felon, in connection with the shooting death of 39-year-old Reginald D. Previtte, 39, of Topeka. Police have not reported the circumstances surrounding Holmes' arrest.
Just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a reported shooting at the plant, according to Police Lt. Ronnie Connell.
First responders found Previtte suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
