JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged road-rage incident and have a suspect in custody.
Just after 8a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a road rage incident in the area of College Blvd. and Cody Street in Overland, according to Officer John Lacy.
The victim reported the original road rage incident took place at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Interstate 35 Highway. The victim reported the road rage incident to dispatch and followed the suspect vehicle. At College Blvd. and Nieman the male suspect driver fired several rounds at the victim’s vehicle, according to police.
The suspect then sped off and then crashed at College Blvd. and Cody Street.
Police took the adult male suspect into custody. There were no injuries.
