KANSAS CITY —A space heater started a house fire Thursday in Kansas City.
Just before 10:30p.m., crews responded to the report of a house fire in the 5900 block of Agnes, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a single-story residence. . A search of the home came back all clear.
After an investigation by the KCFD, it was determined that this fire was started by a space heater too close to other flammable items. There were no injuries reported at this incident. Authorities did not release a damage estimate.
