FINNEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on multiple charges after an incident involving multiple homes in Garden City.

Just before 8p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Belmont Place in Garden City for an unknown man knocking on the front and back doors of a residence, according to a media release.

Upon arrival, officers met with a woman who stated the unknown man ran toward her in the driveway, and she ran into her house and locked the door.

Officers checked the area but could not locate the man.

Just before 10p.m., officers were again dispatched to home where the reporting party heard someone knocking on the back door and windows of their residence.

When officers arrived and began checking the area, numerous residents in the neighborhood called 911 to report that the same man, later identified as Frankie Garcia, 34, Garden City, KS, was in their backyards.

Officers began searching for Garcia and utilized a drone. Officers heard a woman scream for help in her backyard, and after responding, the woman told officers that Garcia had run up to her and attempted to place his hand over her mouth.

Officers located Garcia, and after a brief foot pursuit, Garcia was apprehended and taken into custody. Officers observed damage to multiple fences in the neighborhood, caused by Garcia jumping over them to evade Officers.

Garcia remains jailed on requested charges of Interference LEO, Assault, Criminal Damage, Criminal Trespass and a Municipal Warrant.
