Police still working to ID man who died this spring in Kansas

JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are asking for help identifying a a man who died in late spring of this year, according to a media release from Overland Park Police.

Officers located the man's body near the W. 103rd Street bridge over U.S. 69 Hwy.

Foul play is not suspected in terms of his cause of death. The man did not have any form of identification with him, and attempts to determine his identity without the public’s assistance have been exhausted.

The man was 5-foot-7, with a thin build and has a tattoo on his left shoulder blade.

He appears to be between the age of 35 to 45. A few weeks prior to this incident, an Overland Park Patrol Officer made contact with the same man near Interstate 435 Highway and Metcalf Aveue.

The man didn’t have any identification on him at that time either, but verbally identified himself as Alberto Gomez born January 11, 1983.

Investigators were unable to locate a positive match using the above name and date of birth.
