SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating another deadly shooting in Wichita.
Just before 2a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a disturbance with reports of gunfire in the area of Kellogg and Dugan, according to Officer Kris Gupilan. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a disturbance in a parking lot in the 6300 block of W. Kellogg and began investigating the scene.
While officers were on scene, a separate call was received regarding a walk-in shooting at a local hospital. Two men had arrived with gunshot wounds. A 54-year-old sustained serious injuries but was in stable condition. A 37-year-old was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Preliminary information indicates the shooting stemmed from a disturbance that occurred prior to the incident. The exact circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Investigators are in the early stages of the investigation and are actively interviewing witnesses and gathering additional information.
