FINNEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon on multiple allegations after an ararest.

Just after 1:30a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of N. 8th Street in Garden City where a man was seen rummaging through the reporting party’s vehicle, according to a media release.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Chance Wallace of Garden City ran from officers as they arrived to the scene.

After a brief foot pursuit, Wallace was apprehended and taken into custody. Through further investigation, Wallace was jailed on requested charges of Auto Burglary, Interference with law enforcement, Possession of Stimulants, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police reminded the public, "always lock your vehicle and never leave the keys in it- remove valuables or at the very least hide them out of sight- park in busy, well-lit areas or your garage and report suspicious activity to the police.
