DOUGLAS COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating after three vehicle and a home were struck by gunfire early Sunday morning in the 1400 Block of U.S. 40 north of Lawrence known as the Tee Pee Junction, according to a media release from the Douglas County Sheriff.
Deputies responded to the disturbance just after 3a.m. Sunday. Witnesses at the scene reported shots from the parking lot appeared to be fired after two separate groups were ejected from a party on the property. Deputies recovered evidence on the scene indicating damage to the vehicle and residence.
The crowd had largely disbursed when deputies arrived. There were no injuries reported. Anyone with information on the alleged crime is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff.
