Sheriff: Kansas City man jailed for allegedly selling meth

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug allegations after the search of a Kansas home.

On Monday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) as part of the Shawnee County Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 3500 block of SW Westport Court, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

Investigators found illegal narcotics and arrested Augustine E. Covarrubia, 22, and Nicholas W. Kinnard, 38, both of Kansas City.

Kinnard was booked on a requested charge of distribution of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 Covarrubias was jailed on requested charges of  possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
