
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 9:30a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the 4600 block of Chestnut Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri on a reported knife attack, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Officers arrived on scene and located a victim lying on the front porch of a residence suffering from apparent stab wounds. EMS arrived on scene prior and transported the victim to an area hospital for medical treatment with life-threatening injuries. Officers on scene were notified by medical staff that the man had died of his injuries
Preliminary investigation indicates this incident occurred at an alternate location, and the victim traveled to the area he was located by officers. There is not currently any information that indicates what led up to this incident. Police are working to identify a person of interest and do not currently have anyone in custody.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide, according to Gonzalez.
