KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just after 11p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City.
A Toyota Corolla was eastbound on Southwest Boulevard at Madison at a high rate of speed, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
The driver failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway. The car slid off the roadway to the right and struck a telephone pole.
The unrestrained driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. EMS transported three unrestrained passengers to local hospitals with critical injuries. Police did not release names or additional details early Thursday. The accident remains under investigation, according to Gonzalez.
