KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a woman's death February 19, in Kansas City now say they have another homicide investigation.
Just before midnight Monday, police were dispatched to 36th and Oakley Avenue for a body found, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
First responders found woman, later identified as 26-year-old Ilaysha Gilliam, victimized in a field in Dunbar Park. She appeared to be suffering from trauma.
The case was initially investigated as a suspicious death. Now being investigated as a homicide, according to Forte'.
