SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities&nbsp;continue to investigate a hit-and-run collision that fatally injured 49-year-old Paul Piepmeier of Wichita.

Just after 2a.m. September 30, police were dispatched to the 4500 block of South Broadway Avenue in Wichita for a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.

First responders located Piepmeier unconscious and with multiple injuries.&nbsp; EMS transported him to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The investigation revealed Piepmeier entered the street when he was struck by southbound dark-colored SUV.&nbsp;&nbsp;Detectives are asking for help to&nbsp;identify the driver and locate the vehicle.
