ATCHISON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 10p.m. Tuesday in Atchison County.
The Kansas H ighway Patrol reported a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Antone Lee Artman, 65, Oskaloosa, was southbound on U.S. 159 one mile north of Muscotah.
He lost control of the vehicle, traveled into the west ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle.
EMS transported Artman to Stormont Vail where he was pronounced deceased. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
