RENO COUNTY —Fire crews are working to determine the cause of house fire in Hutchinson.
Just before 9a.m. Monday, fire crews responded to a fire at a home at 201 North Waldron, according to a media release. Heavy smoke and fire was showing out of the rear of a single-story home.
Crews made an interior attack finding high heat and zero visibility, while locating the fire in the kitchen area. Crews searched the home and found several pets, unfortunately only 2 survived.
Severe damage was sustained to the back of the home with smoke damage throughout. Authorities have not released a damage estimate.
